We are a church, but we are probably the least "religious" church you will find.  Our purpose is to feed, engage, and hopefully create a home for the unhoused population of Hamilton.  We are saddened to see our own people living in encampments, etc., and want to create a community in which we can rebuild dignity and promote a sense of belonging.

 

If you would like to help, we are always ready to welcome volunteers.  What would really help would be donations, with which we can purchase healthy food to provide to our community, along with clothing and other needs.  We are a registered charity, and will be happy to provide income tax receipts for donations of $10 or more.

The Church of the Latter Day Dude was founded in California by Oliver Benjamin, now referred to as the "Dudely Lama."  He was in Thailand at a bar, watching "The Big Lebowski" on tv, and thought Jeff Bridge's character should be the basis of a religion, so he created "Dudeism"!  There are now around 600,000 ordained Dudeist Priests worldwide, of which I am but one.  The only rule of Dudeism is, don't be a dick.  To learn more, visit Dudeism.com
